We were at Monika on 07/27 to 08/03 of 2008. We were 3, a couple and a child 10 years old. We arrived from Morocco, Casablanca at 5 pm. Very well recieved. But great surprise! The appartment was not well equiped (specially the kitchenette).
But overall, chidren animation, the general frame (swimming pool, cafeteria …etc), security and specially sympathic and pofessionnal persons at the desk have done a lot for our general satisfaction.
Sincerly, we’ll be back without any hesitation!

I was in The Magic monika holidays Hotel two weeks ago. It was just the beginning of the high season so not a big crowd yet in the hotel. My holidays were EXCELLENT ! I was with my best friend Rachel and we liked it ! A whole appartment just for us, next to the beach, with a so big swimming-pool ! and so nice. I also liked the bars, as it is quite easy to meet new people. The magic show was extraordinary and we took dance classes with very young and nice teachers.

There is a karaoke bar just in front of the hotel, where I used to go almost every night with Rachel.

Come on everyone, Monika is the one !

How impressed were we?!? Myself, my best friend and my 9 year old daughter booked a week over the net for less than £350 quid for the 3 of us and after reading the reviews, was a little aprehensive. All inclusive was fantastic value for money, and although the Spanish OAP’s made the evenings unbearable with their rudeness, overall we had a brilliant week.
Definately recommend the free medieval night (see the rep or reception). Its on a saturday night and you pay 6 euros per person for transport but thats it! And you get a medieval meal, watch a magic show and a jousting show etc… Also, definately worth a trip off the beaten track, El Arca in Guadalest. Get the number 20 bus directly outside hotel but it leaves at 8.20 in the morning and takes an hour to get up to Guadalest. El Arca is an animal sanctuary for rescued circus animals. See the baby tiger cub that is in with the racoon. The lion that talks all day, you’ll hear it when you walk down, and other amazing animals that have all been rescued by this one man including a beautiful grizzly bear! My daughter loved it and it was only 7 euro adult and 5 euro child. Get the free bus service to the other 9 or so hotels in the magic chain. We ate at a different hotel every day and if the weather is a bit naf, you can take the kids to indoor pool at Cristal Park and the Fenecia. Anyway, would definately recommend this hotel. Kids club was a bit hit and miss but my daughter had the swimming pool, crazy golf and if all else failed, msn on the hotels internet access in reception.

We have just returned form Magic Monika Holidays and had a great time.

When I had booked last year I read the reviews and wondered what we were letting ourselves in for as the reviews were terrible. I have come to the conclusion that the majority of people who write reviews like to complain.

The staff were all exceptionally friendly, the rooms were large and clean and were cleaned daily and the towels were changed daily.

The food was good and the pool was fantastic although we did not go in as it was too cold.

The weather was poor but this did not spoil our holiday but I will definately go back in summer to make use of the pool.

Even though it was out of season there was still a kids club which we weren’t expecting.

We took our 2 children aged 10 and 12 and although the weather was bad they still had a great holiday.

The 24 hour bar is an excellent idea as I have stayed in many all-inclusive hotels and seen people order a table full of drinks before midnight and leave most of them.

I would recommend that the hotel put cctv in the 24 hour bar as we were told that someone wedged the larger tap open which emptied the barrel all over the floor. Mindless people will spoil this facility for everyone else.

We met some lovely people and I would definately recommend this hotel and will definately return.

opinion of a costumer of Magic Monika Holidays through Tripadvisor 

we aged 29 and 32 stayed at this hotel with our 2 young children aged 4 and 6 months and my parents aged 54 and 57 in june 2005 and had the most fantastic time. the rooms were great couldn’t fault them well thats all we did was sleep in them coz there was so much to do by the pool in the day,we spent all day there, entertainment was great, kids disco at first then bingo and a show, what more do you want. food was lovely,hot and tasty something different from back home, well thats what you go on holiday for, to have a change from the same old boring stuff.we stayed in hotel for the first week and thoroughly enjoyed just relaxing by the pool and being able to have food from snack bar and cold drinks any time through the day.the second week my brother and his girlfriend aged 24 and 21 joined us and we went to terra natura{the zoo], the water park and the medieval night which were all excellent,and they were gutted they hadn’t booked for the two weeks like us.we can’t say anything bad coz there’s nothing bad to say. we did go into benidorm itself on 2 occasions but that was just to do some shopping and exploring and we found benidorm itself lovely we’ve read reviews people have written since and we’re suprised by what some people have written{food being freezing cold,entertainment being terrible rooms in terrible state,just what exactly do they want from a holiday, i know that we wanted a relaxing holiday with all the trimmings and thats what we got everyone of us enjoyed and will definately be going back again, so i hope this review will help you if you’re looking for a relaxing holiday were you know the kids will be looked after in the kids club and you can eat, drink and be merry for the whole 2 weeks and haven’t got to pay an extra penny. fab hotel 10/10.

well i arrived back from this hotel on the 12th of june, 11 of us (of mixed age from 8-50) went to the monika for a nice break, a man on the coach was telling us that he ad been before and enjoyed it, us on the other hand wer unshure of what to expect but 4 opf our group ad been before wen we pulled up out side the hotel, being the 1st drop off , our first impressions was fantastic, it was boiling hot and the hotel looked nice the reception was helpful and the rooms were clean and safe, we were all inclusive and there was always something to make a meal of in the resturant, there was a free bus in2 benidorm, the beach was a 5 min flat walk away from the hotel, the beer was good and the kids were safe day and night, the most amazing part of the hotel tho…had to be the pool, 1 out of the 6 bars was in the centre of the swimming pool, the water was very clean and there was a constant pool boy and life guard. all the other members of our group said they had a fantastic time and would return, i have just booked to return for a week the 2nd week in july and the other 10 and i are also returning in june next year. dont let the reports on here put you off, we neally did and it would have been a big mistake. xx

opinion of a costumers of Magic Monika Holidays through Tripadvisor

We have just returned from our holiday at Magic Monika. I must admit after booking our holiday then reading some of the reviews on this site i was dreading my trip!! It was the complete opposite to what i expected… The hotel staff where excellent, the food was great and the hotel rooms where very spacious and clean. The pool is the best thing in the hotel, it is to die for, the kids just loved it!! The childrens club is just great, giving you a little time away knowing they where in good hands,,, I really couldnt understand how people can critisize this hotel at all it was just fantastic and we are all ready to book again for next year!! There was one downside however, the hotel didnt have a great deal of entertainment on a night for children my boys spent most of the night playing football on the terrace!! This is honestly the only thing I think the hotel needs to improve… I would strongly advise this hotel for families with younger children as it caters very well for them…

Ver fotos de mayor tamaño After reading some of the reviews we were a little apprehensive, but the Monika is nowhere near as bad as it has been made out by some people. Firstly, there was plenty of choice of food, which was for the most part warm and properly cooked. Even the most picky of eaters could find something and the area was generally hygenic and pleasant to eat in. The snack bar was a little basic but good when you’re feeling peckish, with a small selection of fruit, drinks, cold meats and hot food running for most of the day and constantly replenished. The hotel rooms are basic but comfortable. Our boiler began dripping continuously the day after we arrived which eventually resulted in the electricity going off but this was promptly looked at after reporting it to the reception and we were moved to another room with a much better view in the same block so all was not lost. The bars are very busy, but have a full range of drinks. The barstaff are friendly enough, although the bars are a little basic, but you get what you pay for! The reception staff were generally helpful but queues were long and they only have a basic grasp of english, which sometimes leads to them seeming abrupt or rude, although they are not! The only gripe I have with them is that they didn’t tell us the Medieval night, which you can go to for free at the nearly Magic Excalibur hotel in the same chain, had been cancelled, but this was due to exceptionally bad weather and so probably couldn’t be helped! The All Inclusive card is very helpful, getting you free bus travel on the Amigos bus which runs 4 times a day to 7 other Hotels in the chain and allows you to eat and drink in each and to use the facilities. The only real downside to this holiday was the distance of the Hotel from Central Benidorm. It is in nearby Cala Finestrat, which is very small and has little for people looking for a more lively holiday to do. But this is easily remedied by catching the Amigos bus or the Llorente Bus number 12 on the other side of the street outside the hotel which only costs 1 Euro and takes you to Rincon de Loix in New Benidorm. If you catch the number 12 on the other side of the road you can get to La Marina, a large shopping centre, which is a good day out also. All in all good if you want a relaxing, quiet holiday and don’t expect much from the entertainment (The Michael Jackson tribute is laughable) but if you want a livelier stay in Benidorm in the same chain, you’re better off trying Cristal Park, which is in the Centre of Old Benidorm, or Rock Gardens, a short distance from New Benidorm. I hang an oppinion about Magic Monika Holidays of Mr. BennettsSt Helens from st. Helens that is placed on Tripadvisor:We did not expect to enjoy this holiday as it was allocation on arrival, but when we got there we was chuffed to bits, the staff were really friendly, the rooms were lovely and clean and the food was better than average.The pool area was fantastic, my daughter and son-in-law found they didnt need to go out of the hotel with my two year old grandson as there was so much to keep him entertained. We got the free bus in to Benidorm a few times but after a few hours was glad to be back in Finestrat. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone with kids or not.

I hang comments about Magic Monika Holidays of Mrs. kaziescotland from scotland that is placed on Tripadvisor:we are just back from the monica on 23 june it was the best holiday ive ever had!The food is brilliant and theres loads to do for adults and the kids,crazy golf, darts, archery and the pool is massive its very clean.
the entertainment is good too the only down side is that its out of benidorm but you get the free amigos bus and you get the other buses just outside the hotel every 5 mins and its only a euro.
theres a market every friday just beside the hotel which is really good i would definately go back as the staff are all very friendly and make it a great holiday for you carol scotland
