The opinion of a client ok Monika “magic is the word!!”

kirsty106, barnsley sth yorks  14 jun 2007

Well i arrived back from this hotel on the 12th of june, 11 of us (of mixed age from 8-50) went to the monika for a nice break, a man on the coach was telling us that he ad been before and enjoyed it, us on the other hand wer unshure of what to expect but 4 opf our group ad been before wen we pulled up out side the hotel, being the 1st drop off , our first impressions was fantastic, it was boiling hot and the hotel looked nice the reception was helpful and the rooms were clean and safe, we were all inclusive and there was always something to make a meal of in the resturant, there was a free bus in2 benidorm, the beach was a 5 min flat walk away from the hotel, the beer was good and the kids were safe day and night, the most amazing part of the hotel tho…had to be the pool, 1 out of the 6 bars was in the centre of the swimming pool, the water was very clean and there was a constant pool boy and life guard. all the other members of our group said they had a fantastic time and would return, i have just booked to return for a week the 2nd week in july and the other 10 and i are also returning in june next year. dont let the reports on here put you off, we neally did and it would have been a big mistake. xx

The Best: the pool was amazing, clean cool and HUGE
The Worst: some nights the entertainment was a little poor

My opinion is “Loved the hotel” (Magic Monika Holidays)

Opinion of a costumers of Magic Monika Holidays through Tripadvisor of Asht0n, St Helens 15 jun 2007

We have just returned from our holiday at Magic Monika. I must admit after booking our holiday then reading some of the reviews on this site i was dreading my trip!! It was the complete opposite to what i expected… The hotel staff where excellent, the food was great and the hotel rooms where very spacious and clean. The pool is the best thing in the hotel, it is to die for, the kids just loved it!! The childrens club is just great, giving you a little time away knowing they where in good hands,,, I really couldnt understand how people can critisize this hotel at all it was just fantastic and we are all ready to book again for next year!! There was one downside however, the hotel didnt have a great deal of entertainment on a night for children my boys spent most of the night playing football on the terrace!! This is honestly the only thing I think the hotel needs to improve… I would strongly advise this hotel for families with younger children as it caters very well for them…
The Best: Excellent all round
The Worst: Entertainment poor on an evening

“It is what you make it!”

The reception area. The main bar open during the day.Pool from our balcony on the 16th floor

After reading some of the reviews we were a little apprehensive, but the Monika is nowhere near as bad as it has been made out by some people.

Firstly, there was plenty of choice of food, which was for the most part warm and properly cooked. Even the most picky of eaters could find something and the area was generally hygenic and pleasant to eat in. The snack bar was a little basic but good when you’re feeling peckish, with a small selection of fruit, drinks, cold meats and hot food running for most of the day and constantly replenished.

The hotel rooms are basic but comfortable. Our boiler began dripping continuously the day after we arrived which eventually resulted in the electricity going off but this was promptly looked at after reporting it to the reception and we were moved to another room with a much better view in the same block so all was not lost.

The bars are very busy, but have a full range of drinks. The barstaff are friendly enough, although the bars are a little basic, but you get what you pay for!

The reception staff were generally helpful but queues were long and they only have a basic grasp of english, which sometimes leads to them seeming abrupt or rude, although they are not! The only gripe I have with them is that they didn’t tell us the Medieval night, which you can go to for free at the nearly Magic Excalibur hotel in the same chain, had been cancelled, but this was due to exceptionally bad weather and so probably couldn’t be helped!

The All Inclusive card is very helpful, getting you free bus travel on the Amigos bus which runs 4 times a day to 7 other Hotels in the chain and allows you to eat and drink in each and to use the facilities.

The only real downside to this holiday was the distance of the Hotel from Central Benidorm. It is in nearby Cala Finestrat, which is very small and has little for people looking for a more lively holiday to do. But this is easily remedied by catching the Amigos bus or the Llorente Bus number 12 on the other side of the street outside the hotel which only costs 1 Euro and takes you to Rincon de Loix in New Benidorm. If you catch the number 12 on the other side of the road you can get to La Marina, a large shopping centre, which is a good day out also.

All in all good if you want a relaxing, quiet holiday and don’t expect much from the entertainment (The Michael Jackson tribute is laughable) but if you want a livelier stay in Benidorm in the same chain, you’re better off trying Cristal Park, which is in the Centre of Old Benidorm, or Rock Gardens, a short distance from New Benidorm.

“great pool area” fresh summer in Magic Monika Holidays

Opinion of a costumer of Monika Holidays through Tripadvisor, by  loversofsunshine, liverpool 1 nov 2007

The Magic Monika is a good 3 star all inclusive hotel. It is located in Cala Finestrat
approx 3 km from Benidorm.
At meal times they have a basic outline of a menu, which they
change daily, but don’t be suprised if the selection is different to the menu. You would have to be a fussy eater not to find something on the menu that you liked. The hotel is
mainly English and spanish but there were german and Scandinavian guests. The hotel has
a great pool area with plenty of sunbeds, there is also 2 cold water jacuzzi’s!
There is an snack bar by the pool which was open for most of the day serving hamburgers, hotdogs,
chips and various cold meats and salads, there was also a selection of hot and cold drinks. The apartments are comfortable and clean, and towels changed regularly. The hotel
has various bars and depending on the season would determin how many were open.
After reading reviews about drinks being watered down, we found that they were a lower strength due to being loc!

Al brands, but they did give you a good measure, there were also cocktails but some were
pre mixed. There is a free bus 4 times a day, which takes you to the other hotels in the
Magic group, or there was a local bus ( No. 12) which runs every 15 mins from outside the hotel costing 1 Euro, this will take you from Cala Finistrat to the other side of
Benidorm. If you get the chance try the Magic Rock for an evening meal.

The Best: great pool area
The Worst: limited all inclusive drinks availible

Opinion Mr. Bennetts about hotel Magic Monika Holidays

I hang an oppinion about Magic Monika Holidays of Mr. BennettsSt Helens from st. Helen.

We did not expect to enjoy this holiday as it was allocation on arrival, but when we got there we was chuffed to bits, the staff were really friendly, the rooms were lovely and clean and the food was better than average. The pool area was fantastic, my daughter and son-in-law found they didnt need to go out of the hotel with my two year old grandson as there was so much to keep him entertained. We got the free bus in to Benidorm a few times but after a few hours was glad to be back in Finestrat. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone with kids or not.

Fantastic magic monika holidays

I hang an oppion about the Magic Monika Holidays of Mr. Peter from Wigan that is placed on Travelrepublic:We got an appartment for the price of a double room and theall inclusive was fantastic with a self serve bar after midnight for the diehards. With the Magic group of hotels you can use any of their places to eat and drink all by using your All Inclusive card. Hence you can tour all of Benidorm and not be far from a cafe con leche or a cerveza. Excellent.

Nice Holidays

I hang a review about the Magic Monika Holidays of Mrs. J. Totterdale from Caerphilly that is placed on holiday-truth:Well just got back from the best holiday yet, I really don´t know how this hotel got so many bad reviews, the room was just great, very big with kitchen, dining area, livingroom area, with a separate bedroom, and the cleanliness was excellent, well the food was just lovely with full English breakfast and the rest of te day the food was really good with plenty of well cooked food to chose from. Also the snackbar was good as well, the hotel location was fantastic, with lovely walks, to the beach which is just dowm the road, we also caught the free bus into town, for a bit of shopping, and then went to 3 of the other hotels belonging to the chain, there are 12 in all and you can use them if you want, so your all inclusive can be used in all the other hotels, which is just great if you are out and about as you don´t need to use your own mone, just pop in and order that drink and enjoy your food, can´t fault it.The staff were really nice, and none of them could not do enough for you, really friendly and helpful. The entertainment we could not fault and the acts that was put one were fab, we really had a laugh, we would visit this hotel again anytime and we would stay at any of the other hotels as well.A very good time had by my husband and myself and we made some very good friends, it is also 24hours all inclusive, so go and enjoy your-selves.
